Maths For Life Conference

We are delighted to announce the first Maths For Life Conference hosted by Ellesmere College, Leicester on Tuesday 23rd June 2026, from 1.00-6.00pm. Attendance at the conference is FREE and by invitation only.

Ellesmere College is a large special school on the outskirts of Leicester City with places for 426 students. The college caters for students aged 4-19 with a range of special educational needs ranging from moderate to severe and complex needs. Some students have additional sensory or speech, language and communication needs.

As the first special school to implement Maths For Life in March 2022, Ellesmere College is a fitting location for what we hope will be the first of many Maths For Life Conferences. Led by Jana-liss Richardson, Ellesmere’s roll out began at primary level and has now been extended to include secondary.

Attendees will have ample opportunity to observe children and teachers using Maths For Life, share ideas, and learn from Jana-liss and her team’s experience, as well as benefitting from the training and workshops provided by the Maths For Life team.

The conference will start at 1.00pm (post lunch) with a tour of the school followed by the opportunity to see Maths For Life in action with a class hosted in the sports hall.  There will then be time for refreshments and networking before a training session by Karen McGuigan followed by a set of breakout workshops.  The conference will conclude with nibbles and drinks and a chance to ask questions.

As numbers on the day will be limited, we would ask you to complete the following form to register your interest and request a place(s) at the conference.

We would ask you to reserve the date and we will look to confirm your booking via email invitation on or before 31st May 2026.
