Future of Secondary Maths

Karen presented at the Westminster Forum Projects Education on the "Priorities for the maths curriculum and its teaching in England's secondary schools". It was a fantastic forum with representations made from across the maths world.

She was tasked with summarising the priorities for inspection and accountability - the implications of the new Ofsted framework, school's white paper and SEND reform proposals - in 6 minutes! Again, she was representing for the SEND community - ensuring their voice gets heard.

Inclusion is changing the question from, "Can they access this lesson?" to, "What is the next mathematical objective this student needs to understand?"

It is time for equity in maths education.
