Introducing the NUMERULE with Lance and Ella

Lance and Ella tackle money… the value of money and identifying coins and notes.

During this lesson we use things located around the house to look at measurement, shapes, shape properties and colours.

We use our Lance and Ella figures to model positional language, reinforcing the understanding of it using physical objects.

We are using our Unifix cubes to look at ‘the difference’.

Using the Squeeble Maths Race App (Squeeble MR) to help with simple addition.

Using 'Telling the Time' flashcards to look at prenumber skills 'same and different'.

This is a short video demonstrating subtraction using Numicon, a numberline and cubes. Then checking the answer using a calculator.
