The Maths For Life programme was born out of a passion and a need to approach maths differently for students with additional learning needs.

Our motivation is simply to provide those students with a path to fulfil their potential and secure the maths skills they need for life.

The core values of our organisation, the values we hold which form the foundation of how we behave, are:

  • Adaptable - we are an independent, ‘uncorporate’ organisation that is agile and responsive; we are driven by passion and not shareholders.

  • Empathetic - we respect and understand the SEN world; our experience is real-life.

  • Intelligent - we have developed a programme based on a robust understanding of maths, of SEN learning styles and the complexities of national curriculum.

  • Open - we are approachable, we are honest, we listen and we learn; all feedback is welcomed.

  • Uncomplicated - we explain maths in straight forward, understandable language; simple and uncomplicated for everyone.

The Maths For Life programme is not just about teaching maths, it is about engaging with students with additional learning needs and affording them the same opportunity to learn to love maths as much as we do. And to have fun in the process.

Small steps, big passion.

If a child can’t learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach they way they learn.
